Machining Capabilities

When you choose to work with Excel Foundry & Machine, you know you are getting the best: a state-of-the-art, high-tech machining facility and a high efficiency, versatile foundry. In addition we have Non-destructive Testing (NDT) and NIST traceable calibrated dimensional inspection.

As Excel has matured over the last 8 decades, we have continuously upgraded our machining capabilities. Our current machinery includes the latest in milling and 4-axis turning with fifth-axis live tools.

Our CNC machining centers are DNC controlled with programs provided from our production engineers, utilizing the latest generation of 3-dimensional modeling/programming software. Excel’s experienced engineers and machinists have even designed many of our tools and fixtures, along with a couple of our machines themselves.

Every machine purchased by EFM has dramatically increased efficiency while improving quality and increasing capacity. These efficiencies allow us to compete with low-cost countries, while delivering a more dependable level of quality in a shorter lead time. The result has been improved competitiveness on mature products and enhanced opportunities to win new programs.
